Prophecy Research This coming June it will be sixty years since the establishment of the State of Israel. In one day, the new nation was declared. Its destruction went back to AD 70 when General Titus destroyed both the temple and the city of Jerusalem. Answering AGAIN the Prewrath Rapture Guys, Part I I thought the PreWrath Rapture guys had been put out to pasture a long time ago! But I guess error has a way of continually re-surfacing again and again. What is the PreWrath Rapture view? It is a convoluted view that says the church will go through part of the tribulation and be raptured before the wrath of Revelation 16:1-12. Most of the Prewrath Rapture guys and myself agree on what constitutes most of the rapture passages. But what they try to do is connect Christ's appearance and His coming for the saints at the rapture with the fact that the antichrist will be around, and thus the church is here during the first part of the tribulation. Tribulation Wrath Begins in Revelation 6 When does the tribulation wrath begin in the book of Revelation; and, does the church suffer under any part of this "wrath" of God that comes upon the earth? For well over one hundred years Christianity has been on life support in England. A Puritan influence and even a premillennial/dispensational influence sustained for a while. It has been estimated that around fifty percent of English clergymen were greatly influenced by dispensationalism and even were of this persuasion for a period of time. Who Are The Kings Of The East? As events in the Far East unfold, with China growing in international influence, the question comes up again, Who are the kings of the East in Revelation 16:12? Could this be a reference to China in regard to some of the final events of the tribulation? The answer is yes! But first, it is important to analyze as much as possible all we can about the verse. If you haven't noticed, our world has slipped into a new phase the last nine or twelve months! It is as if a paradigm shift, not slowly but suddenly, has come upon the world. This shift is touching on politics, social and cultural thinking, and of course spiritual attitudes. This will not be an exhaustive study of the subject so I recommend purchasing the book The End Time Controversy, edited by Dr. Tim LaHaye and Dr. Ed Hindson (Harvest House). Some of the best Bible teachers in the country contributed. I wrote chapter 12 on the subject of "War Over Words," which deals with expressions like: "The time is near," etc. I have always appreciated the grammatical and historical scholarship of THE NEW INTERNATIONAL COMMENTARY ON THE OLD TESTAMENT (Eerdmans). But the volume on the book of Numbers written by Timothy R. Ashley is a perfect example of sorry and silly interpretation by those of the amillennial camp. The Blessings of the Battle of Omdurman Not knowing history, many today do not realize it but in 1898 Africa was temporarily saved from radical Islam by the Nile battle of Omdurman. This city was on the banks of the Nile River some distance from the sixth cataract inland on that great body of water. The largest ethnic group fighting for the Confederacy during the Civil War was the Jews. It is estimated that 10,000 fought for the South. This included first through the third generations, and many old Jewish families from both the Sephardic ... Christ: Rock in the Wilderness There are two stories in the Pentateuch concerning Moses striking the rock in the desert—Exodus 17:5-6; Numbers 20:7-13. In the first reference Moses is instructed by the Lord to strike the rock before the elders. In the second reference he is told to simply speak to the rock in the presence of the people. Because he struck the rock in anger in the Numbers account, God placed a penalty on Moses that he would not enter the Promised Land. Prophecy Concerning Gentile Nations
Some weeks ago I did a question concerning the nations and made mention that the European peoples came through the line of Noah's son Japheth. Many wanted more information. And part of what He has to say includes a prophecy about the Gentile nations and the fact that God will someday stop His work with them and start up again His sovereign activity with His people the Jews. The Rabbinical Teaching on: The Coming Russian Invasion of Israel From the fall of 2007 onward, the Middle East more and more looks like smoldering kindling ready to burst into a full blown conflagration. This part of the world, whether there is some sort of temporary semblance of peace or not, will never be the same. The Islamic near-target is Israel, but the far-target is America. Whether the fire will burst forth soon or with some delay is not known. Extermination of the Carpathian Orthodox Jews In the early 1980s I took an independent personal study tour into Communist Eastern Europe. I traveled through Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Romania. At the time these countries were still under the yoke of Russia. The social and political situation was terribly oppressive, dark, and foreboding. Part of the trip took me through part of the world that is infamous for its history of terror! We traveled through Transylvania, the legendary home of Count Dracula, and through the dreary and seemingly always cloudy Carpathian Mountains. A pale of evil hung heavy over both regions, especially over the Carpathian Mountains which were part of the area known decades past as Ruthenia. We have always had wars and confrontations over the Bible, the Word of God. Through the centuries they have been about (1) heretical teachings, (2) misinterpretation, (3) the nature of the church, (4) outright liberalism and the denial of the inspiration of Scripture, (5) and the very nature of its message. The last issue (5) is now taking prominence. Presently, the war is over the basic messages (or message) of the Bible, Bible prophecy, and what God has said about the nation of Israel. Napoleon was changing the face of Europe. He was for the common man the hero of the western world, supposedly bent on removing or tempering the monarchies of various countries and bringing in a form of Republicanism. But he certainly was not a purest and illustrated that fact when he proclaimed himself as the Emperor of France. Many lost faith in this supposed benevolent dictator and conqueror! But the relationship Napoleon had with the Jews is fascinating... It was 1932 and seven years before World War II began. Winston Churchill went to Germany to do some research on the battles of the first Duke of Marlborough, a distant relative of Winston. A Harvard graduate and millionaire, Putzi Hanfstaengl, a friend of Hitler, had lunch with Churchill. Thinking he could bring some understanding between Churchill and Hitler, Putzi offered to arrange a meeting between the two men. The encounter and meeting between Hitler and Churchill had all been arranged, until Churchill asked Putzi some stinging questions about the Jews. He asked Hanfstaengl, "Why is your chief (Hitler) so violent about the Jews? The Judgment on the Gentiles and Jews of Germany Before World War I France was the most sinful nation on earth. The most evil of decadence was paraded in Pigalle, and along the rue de la Huchette, just a block from the Notre Dame. France was known as the sin capital of Europe. The French would pay with a judgment from God. It is often asked when the prophesied return of the Shekinah Glory the Millennial Temple will be. There is renewed interest today in the millennium and the coming presence of God to the kingdom and its rebuilt temple. And there are questions to answer. For instance, is the Shekinah in the Old Testament the presence of God the Father, or of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ? There it was. Right there on my shelf-slightly dusty! The book I purchased in Jerusalem in 1975 from one of the leading Rabbis, S. Schaffer, is entitled Israel's Temple Mount. I had to go to the house of the old orthodox sage in order to purchase my copy. He was kind and gentle with me, whom he recognized as a Goy (Gentile) foreigner from Texas. At the time he was considered the most recognized Jewish scholar on the subject of the temple. For over 150 years premillennialists and dispensationalists have been teaching the prophecies of Scripture about the someday rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. They take the Bible literally and realize from a stable of verses that historically this was predicted to happen. The Eternal Search For The Messiah or The Promise Of The Messiah: The Hope Of Israel For almost 2000 years the Jewish people have longed for the promised Messiah. They have been hounded, beaten, tortured, suffering fire and drowning in their anticipation of His arrival. Acts 3:18-26 Is The Church Age The "Times of Refreshing" In Acts 3:18-26 there is a war raging as to what "the times of refreshing" and "period of restoration" mean. Progressive Dispensationalists say the (1) refreshing has to do with this present church period, and (2) the restoration is about the millennial kingdom. Amillennialists believe that both expressions have nothing to do with the kingdom, which was forfeited by the Jewish people. Ezekiel 38-39: The Coming Russian and Middle Eastern Invasion of Israel Only someone blind would deny where things are going in the Middle East. What is happening is prelude to the prophesied coming Russian and Middle Eastern Invasion, described in detail in Ezekiel 38-39. In almost the identical words of Hitler, the President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, recently said... The Lie of Replacement Theology With the present Middle East crises the question is again raised, “Is not God through with the Jews?” Has not the Church replaced Israel and God has finally and totally rejected Israel? Of course individual Jews can come to Christ, but will the Lord ever restore the national theocracy with the Lord Jesus reigning over the Davidic messianic kingdom? 58 Reasons That Explain Why the Jews Are God's People and that the Holy Land Belongs to Them 1. So-Called "Scholars" Blast Away at Bible Prophecy The wolves in sheep’s clothing have revealed themselves again! Drs. Marvin Pate and Daniel Hays wrote a book in 2003 (before the capture of Saddam Hussein) in which they blast away at C. I. Scofield, Tim LaHaye, Hal Lindsey, and others who see biblical prophecy as it was intended, to be unfolding in the future with actual and historical events, as prophesied in the Word of God. Sodom and Gomorrah in Biblical Prophecy Everyone is aware of the expression of “sodomy,” a term from Scripture that depicts the sin of homosexuality. The term has been used for hundreds of years in the law books of Western civilization to reflect the heinousness of the act of sexual relations between people of the same sex. But does the Bible forecast a dominate return of sodomy in the final days of world history as we know it? The Middle East is boiling over at the point of what has been called since ancient time, the Gaza Strip. This portion of land, the land bridge between the Holy Land and Egypt, is now the home of what is designated as the Palestinian people. Muslim in faith, the people of this region are opting to take the entire Holy Land as their own possession. |
